ESC Radio awards 2011: Eric is the winner!!!! :D

Tomorrow we'll be able to start voting in the ESC Radio awards 2011. Every year this webpage that streams Eurovision songs allows us to vote for our favourite male singer, female singer, group and song. So we can support Eric and Popular from tomorrow to the following Monday (June 6th-13th). You can vote as many times as you want. Be sure to have a look to the site starting tonight at 0:00. We have to give the triumph to Eric!

I voted for Eric in the groups he is into, Lena and I had a very hard time chosing btw "A friend in London" and "Blue".... I decided to vote for "Blue", since I know them much more longer

We did it!!! Eric has won in his two categories! And it seems that Eric has broken records in best male singer category!

From June 6 to 13, the voting for the 2011 ESC Radio Awards took place. More than twice as many people as last time participated, thank you for your votes! So now it’s time to reveal the results in the four categories Best Song, Best Female Artist, Best Male Artist and Best Group:

Sweden’s 2011 Eurovision entry, “Popular”, written by Fredrik Kempe and performed by Eric Saade, won an impressive overall victory. While the song finished third in the contest in Düsseldorf, only 4 points behind Italy, “Popular” tops our awards poll for Best Song 2011 with a remarkable 31,3% of the vote. In addition, in the Best Male Artist category Eric scored a massive win with 49%, the highest percentage ever achieved in this category. So, our special congratulations go to Sweden, Eric Saade, and the composer of the song, Fredrik Kempe!

In the Best Female Artist category, Germany’s Lena secured her win with 15,4% of the vote. At the contest in Düsseldorf, the 2010 Eurovision winner came 10th with the song “Taken By A Stranger”. In the category Best Group 2011, the trophies go to Jedward from Ireland. The ESC Radio listeners awarded them with 32,5% of the vote. Their song “Lipstick”, which has been doing quite well in the charts across Europe, ranks second place with our voters.

I'm happy because my favourites won in 3 of the 4 categories. In female artist I voted for Getter Jaani, but she was 3º, so it's quite good too.

That's lovely. It's not only award but we probably will see Eric smile after receiving this special recognition from the fans

At least that, I'd love to see Eric again, especially with his smile.... he's got a very cute smile, tough... I am dying to see him performing some songs live there
