Lounge Guidelines

Welcome to the Saade Lounge


Firstly please remember: never post any personal information on the boards. If there is any such information you wish to share with another member, do it via PM. Even then be very careful, as nobody really knows whom he or she are talking to. Be careful out there!

·:· Watch and read, get to know the forum before you post.

·:· Keep the focus: Make sure your post is going into the appropriate forum. Threads considered to be misplaced by the moderators will be moved, locked or deleted.

·:· Stick to the point. Make sure you do not send a thread off the topic it originated as.

·:· Check the forum you are posting in before starting a new thread. If there is a thread with similar content, post there rather than jam up the board with too many in a similar vein.

·:· Consider your post before submitting it. Remember it is almost impossible to convey sarcasm, irony or any other vocal or physical intonation through the medium of keyboard and screen.

·:· Don't post just to increase your number of posts. If you have nothing to say on a certain matter then don't post. The number of posts on this board has no direct relation to the experience of a member.

·:· Take it to pm. If you have problems with another member don’t fight it out in the ring. Take it to pm and to moderators rather than spoil the forum for other users.

·:· If you find you are having an ongoing conversation with another member within a thread then again, please take it to pm rather than other members having to attempt to ‘talk over’ you.

·:· Be nice to each other and respect the moderators. Profanity should be avoided. Insults will not be tolerated.

·:· Keep it clean and to the point in the lounge, this is the area that is likely to be accessed first by members and by visitors.

·:· Please respect and consider each other, there are many members who have been supporting Eric for months as well as daily increases in new members from different countries for whom English is not their first language.

·:· Please do not ask for or post illegally obtained copyrighted content! Links to content of a questionable nature, asking for, offering, or asking for help/helping to process such content in any way or form will not be tolerated.

·:· Please try to keep signature sizes down. It slows down reading of the board if you have to scroll through huge signatures. No larger than 500 x 180 pixels please.

·:· Avatars should be kept to approx 100x100 pixels. If you place one that is so large that the boards template is affected you will be requested to remove or re-size it.


Personal Photographs

·:· People are very kindly sharing their photographs with you all and to repay them back by re-posting them (on here or on other sites) with the owners name cropped/removed is a sad state of affairs and will not be tolerated.

·:· It will be a shame if our members become reluctant to post their pictures on here because of this, and do remember that its actually against copyright laws.

·:· Also, if you do wish to use any pictures belonging to other members in your signature or avatar then ask first.


Videos / Links to Media

·:· If someone posts a link to a non-saveable file, there may be a reason why it can't and shouldn't be saved. To an extent, there is some rule-bending on the forum regarding media files being captured, but we do always have to be aware of the legality of sharing images and audio tracks.
